A few highlights from Food Japan 2023
Visitors will be delighted by the range of food products at Food Japan.
Yuzu Halal Sushi – vegan and halal options

Yuzu, the tangy and flowery-flavoured fruit, is a distinct Japanese flavour that’s commonly used in confectionaries and beverages. One of the representative dishes of Yuzu is Tosa Yuzu Sushi.
At the Tosayamada Shopping Centre Co Ltd booth at Japan Food Fare, visitors can experience exotic Tosa Yuzu Sushi, which is made from sushi-flavoured rice and most importantly has halal and vegan versions available.
A speciality from Kochi prefecture, Yuzu Sushis are frozen using modern freezing technology and distributed worldwide.
Canned foods with sake

Freshness of ingredients is one of the main features of Japanese cuisine, whether it’s meat or vegetables. But can canned foods be equally fresh? At Food Japan, visitors will come across Japan’s newly launched CanBites, based on the unique and novel concept of canned food paired with sake (a traditional Japanese beverage).
Unlike canned products which do not retain freshness and nutrition, CanBites claims to be lower on preservatives and packed with the latest technology. There is an entire range of canned ‘Otsumami’, or finger foods that are perfect to go with Sake and require no cooking.
Diverse range of dry noodles

Banshu Noodle Export Association (B.N.E.A.), is an association representing 10 noodle manufacturers that specialise in Banshu noodles. Banshu is a region in Japan known for manufacturing authentic dry noodles of various types – Soba, Udon, Somen, and Ramen.
At the B.N.E.A. booth at Food Japan, visitors can explore delicious, authentic and nutritious noodles variety which Singaporeans love to savour.
Curry Powders

Who doesn’t love the umami-flavoured Japanese curries? At Japan Food Fare, visitors will come across a display of a variety of curry powders at the All Japan Curry Manufacturer Association’s booth. From mild to spicy and non-MSG to non-GMO versions, there are a plethora of curry powders on display that visitors can consider using for grilled, pan-fried and curried Japanese dishes.
Japan’s speciality Raw Eggs
At Food Japan, visitors can discover the nutritional value, taste and exotic process of growing premium Japanese raw eggs at the booth of Mangetsu Tamago.
We have all heard of Japan’s famous raw eggs, the cornerstone of Japanese cuisine that has gained fame internationally. These eggs are in high demand in Singapore and available in supermarkets like Isetan, Medi-ya and Fairprice Finest.

What makes this year even more exciting is that 50% of the exhibitors are participating in Food Japan for the first time, ensuring visitors can expect many new and innovative products.
