Rooftop restaurant Eclipse opened its doors officially earlier this week. Located at the rooftop of Chinatown’s landmark Yue Hwa Building at the historic 70 Eu Tong Sen Street, the restaurant dazzles with a view of the city’s skyline and Singapore’s beautiful downtown area.
The European-Asian semi-fine dining restaurant offers three exclusive dining spaces to guests: 1. a lavishly adorned common dining room with bar, 2. a large alfresco outdoor dining area with spacious balconies, 3. two private dining rooms that can accommodate up to 10 persons each – one styled in a sky dome and the other designed in a wine cellar concept. Guests can choose to dine in the luxurious indoors or soak in the beauty of the outdoors as they savor the gastronomical delights with their family and friends!
Eclipse is the brainchild of chef-founder Samuel Quan, an enterprising chef who brings his expertise and love for fusion dishes to the restaurant offerings. Before launching Eclipse, Chef Sam worked at the Spanish-influenced restaurant Element on Tras Street located in Amara Hotel, earning himself the title of “Apprentice Chef of the Year at the 2017 World Gourmet Summit“. Chef Sam leads a stellar and young team of culinary experts and seasoned chefs at Eclipse to offer food lovers an experience like none other!
The decadent fare at Eclipse is a sight to behold, besides being a showcase of culinary excellence! The exclusive menu offers 3 course and 4 course Set Lunches, an appetizing bar menu, a mouth-watering dinner menu and a whole range of beverages, spirits and wines from a well-stocked bar. Their 5 course Chef tasting Menu tantalizes the tastebuds with Pre-Dinner’s Canapes, Hamachi and Pumpkin Laksa Soup, follows it up with Duo Beef with vegetables and Chicken Spice Mousse ending on a sweet note with “Orh Nee” Mille Feuille (coconut ice-cream) and Petit Four! Eclipse is also the first concept restaurant by Bespoke Dining Club (BDC). BDC aims to become a diners’ club in the near future that can offer lifestyle perks in addition to fine-dining offers.
