Celebrate Chinese New Year with PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road

PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road has got you covered with delicious festive offerings and appearances by the God of Fortune (appearing on the eve, first, fifth, seventh ,ninth and 15th day of the Lunar New Year), as well as lion and dragon dance performances on fifth day of the lunar new year. 

 

Spice Brasseriefivefortune

Don’t want to sit down to a stuffy, multi-course dinner? Head to Spice Brasserie for their Fivefold Fortune Reunions buffet ($50 to $88, depending on the time). The restaurant is offering the Fivefold Fortunes Set, a collection of five auspicious dishes to start off the new year. In the set is Seafood Yu Sheng, which comes with truffle oil and passionfruit sauce. There’s also a poon choy containing prawns, scallop, dried oyster, pork, abalone, fish maw, broccoli and mushrooms. Another lavish addition to the set is a cream-based Braised Lobster in Superior Stock, as well as the Golden Ingot Dumplings, made with minced pork, baby abalone and chives.  Finally, for dessert there’s a Pumpkin Purée with Almond Flakes. In addition, all the usual favourites at the buffet will still be available. This includes a sushi and sashimi corner, as well as the live cooking stations serving international dishes. Si Chuan Dou Hua

For something more formal, head for the set menus (from $78 per pax to $2888 for 10 pax) at Si Chuan Dou Hua, which features items like Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Minced Meat Dumpling, Conpoy and Soya Bean.

Executive Cantonese Chef Leung Wing Chung also brings back his signature yusheng this year – the Prosperity Exotic Garden with Fresh Black Truffles in Homemade Truffle Mushroom and Osmanthus Sauce ($98 for 4-6 pax). The unique yusheng features a plethora of heady, aromatic ingredients and textures. This includes fresh black truffle slices, prized matsutake mushrooms and fresh greens, tossed with soya bean crisps and crispy rice grains, all draped with an osmanthus sauce. Other items on offer include the Flambé Suckling Pig ($258 for dine-in), served with six different dips.
